Lake Log Chute
The Hawk Lake Log Chute was used extensively between 1880 and the 1930s
to move logs into the Gull River system of the Trent Watershed. It has
been continuously maintained in its original location by Stanhope Township.
Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. is a privately owned forest
in Central Ontario's Haliburton Highlands. Comprising over 50,000 acres
of rolling hardwood forests, pristine lakes, meandering rivers and extensive
wetlands, make it a nature enthusiasts dream.
The museum is situated in Glebe Park on the north shore of Head Lake
overlooking Haliburton Village. It was started by a local committee
as a Canadian Centennial project to commemorate the early pioneers of
The Haliburton Nordic Trails Association maintains a network of nearly
100km of groomed trails for the cross-country ski enthusiast. Our non-profit,
community-based association is dedicated to the maintenance of high-quality,
groomed trails in Haliburton County.
Highlands Trails and Tours Network
The Haliburton Highlands Trails and Tours Network (HHTTN) is a non-profit
organization dedicated to developing, promoting and marketing a county
wide trails and tours product.
The Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC) brings together quality facilities,
leading programmers in the field and a diverse range of activity opportunities
to provide year round people-focused outdoor experiences.
Adventure Learning Centre
The mission of Medeba is to change young people's lives through specialized
adventure experiences with a Christian perspective.
The Frost Centre Ski trails will be open for the 2004/2005 season
